Maintenance Mechanic, Food & Consumer Products Manufacturing
Overview
Own maintenance for high volume production lines at a consumer products facility in Minneapolis and ensure maximum uptime. You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and conveyor systems and perform PMs to sustain plant reliability. You’ll work with a collaborative team focused on safety, cGMP, and continuous improvement. This role offers onsite, direct employment with competitive pay and overtime opportunities.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and repair manufacturing equipment and production lines to minimize downtime and maximize throughput
- 2Perform preventative maintenance and PM programs to maximize equipment uptime
- 3Diagnose mechanical electrical hydraulic and conveyor system issues and implement durable fixes
- 4Conduct equipment changeovers and line startups to support new production runs
- 5Test equipment post repair to verify production readiness and quality output
- 6Maintain accurate work orders and parts inventory in the CMMS system
- 7Order track and manage replacement parts to support maintenance activities
- 8Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to improve reliability and throughput
- 9Follow Lockout/Tagout safety procedures and cGMP guidelines
- 10Document maintenance actions and outcomes to support regulatory readiness and traceability
Requirements10
- 1Industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- 2Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
- 3Experience working on production equipment and conveyor systems
- 4Electrical troubleshooting experience
- 5Knowledge of hydraulics pneumatics and mechanical systems
- 6Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics
- 7Experience performing preventive maintenance programs
- 8Experience using CMMS software for maintenance tracking
- 9Strong focus on workplace safety
- 10Preferred experience in food cosmetic pharmaceutical consumer products or cGMP regulated manufacturing
