LPN/LVN Covid Vaccinator, PRN
Overview
You will administer COVID-19 and other vaccines as a PRN nurse vaccinator for PharmcareUSA, serving long-term care facilities across New York. You own the mobile vaccine operation from setup to documentation, ensuring patient safety and HIPAA compliance. Working onsite with a small clinical team, you track key data points and respond to adverse reactions. This role demands travel, occasional weekends, and comfort with a fast clinical pace. You join a privately held, national pharmacy that values its staff and delivers daily to nursing homes and hospice residents.
What You'll Do10
- 1Perform basic nursing care for patients following established standards and procedures.
- 2Collect patient data such as vital signs and observations, reporting findings promptly.
- 3Set up and prepare the mobile vaccine operation, including equipment and supplies.
- 4Track and report key data points related to vaccine administration and patient response.
- 5Adhere to quality assurance procedures and maintain all HIPAA standards.
- 6Prepare and administer injections including COVID-19 vaccine, perform routine tests, and treat wounds.
- 7Observe patients for signs and symptoms of adverse reactions and respond appropriately.
- 8Prepare patient records and files using established medical record forms and automated systems.
- 9Comply with all safety policies and procedures, including use of protective equipment.
- 10Understand and comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws and company policies.
Requirements9
- 1Current LPN/LVN license in the state of New York.
- 21+ year experience administering vaccines, preferably COVID-19 vaccines.
- 3Ability to travel to various locations in New York, including occasional weekends and evenings.
- 4Proficiency with standard office equipment and computer systems for documentation.
- 5Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop for extended periods.
- 6Capacity to lift and transport materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
- 7Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients and team members.
- 8Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols.
- 9Certification in CPR/BLS is required.
