Low Voltage Cable Technician Foreman Chicago
Overview
Leapros seeks skilled technicians to install and maintain low-voltage cabling in Chicago. Candidates will handle pulling routing securing cables installing support structures troubleshooting infrastructure collaborating with trade teams and assembling server racks. Experience with fiber optics wireless access points and blueprint reading is required.
What You'll Do11
- 1Pull route and secure CAT 5/6 coaxial and fiber optic cables in new construction
- 2Install support structures such as cable trays and conduit
- 3Troubleshoot cable infrastructure on commercial or industrial projects
- 4Collaborate with other trades to complete projects
- 5Rack and stack closet work and assemble server racks
- 6Install work area outlets on walls modular furniture and ceilings
- 7Mount face plates and surface mount boxes correctly
- 8Install grounding for racks equipment and cable as required
- 9Wireless access point installation and configuration
- 10Experience with analog CCTV systems DVRs access control intercom networking equipment wireless point-to-point switches and routers
- 11Read blueprints schematics and layouts
Requirements11
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 2Knowledge of universal color codes for cable identification and labeling
- 3Familiarity with industry standards such as EIA TIA BICSI or NEC
- 4Ability to coordinate with project management and installers
- 5Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
- 6Personal protective equipment and basic hand tools
- 7Reliable transportation
- 8Physical stamina to lift and carry up to 100 pounds
- 9Ability to climb ladders up to 20 feet
- 10Dexterity of hands and fingers to use tools
- 11Experience with OSHA safety standards

$58 - $94k per year
