Lot Driver I, ADESA Chandler & Vehicle Movement Operations
Overview
Own on site vehicle movement at a leading auto auction campus with responsibility for staging and transporting units across a large lot. Manage safe operations and accurate inventory as part of a collaborative team supporting auction activities. This role offers hands on experience with a high volume, fast paced environment and growth within a Carvana owned network.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and execute vehicle movement across the lot to support auction flow and staging needs
- 2Design efficient lot routes to meet sale day requirements and maintain accurate alphanumeric order
- 3Lead safe operations by following driving procedures and reporting incidents promptly
- 4Ship vehicles from finish lines to designated parking spots and record movements in the internal system
- 5Own inventory tracking by scanning parked vehicles to ensure accurate counts and location data
- 6Manage maintenance tasks such as jump starting vehicles using a battery box when required
- 7Debug safety issues and maintain clean, compliant work areas and equipment
- 8Drive collaboration with multiple departments to ensure timely vehicle positioning and retrieval
- 9Scale operations by supporting efficiency improvements and standardizing processes
- 10Drive adherence to company policies and legal requirements for accidents or property damage
Requirements10
- 1High School diploma or GED preferred
- 2Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license that meets the requirements
- 3Able to safely drive a variety of vehicle makes, models, and sizes
- 4Automotive or auction experience preferred
- 5Proficiency with computer systems and applications
- 6Reading and following English instructions and basic reporting
- 7Ability to operate in a fast paced environment and in all weather conditions
- 8Good communication and teamwork skills
- 9Detail oriented with the ability to multitask
- 10Physical ability to perform light to medium work including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and reaching
