Lot Driver I, ADESA Dayton & Carvana Operations
Overview
Lot Driver I at ADESA Dayton supports auction activities by moving and staging vehicles across the lot at scale. You will operate motor vehicles on site, maintain safe driving habits, and assist with inventory tracking and parking in designated areas. The role is part time, onsite, and contract with a focus on reliable, compliant operations within a multi-location Carvana-owned network. You will join a collaborative operations team and contribute to efficient lot flow and customer service.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build safe and efficient vehicle movement across the lot to meet sale day needs
- 2Design accurate staging and parking of vehicles to optimize lot flow and inventory
- 3Lead safe operation of diverse vehicle makes and sizes throughout the shift
- 4Ship vehicles from finish lines to assigned spots using alphanumeric ordering
- 5Own updating internal tracking by scanning vehicles to ensure accurate inventory records
- 6Scale maintenance tasks such as jump‑starting vehicles with a battery box when required
- 7Drive compliance with safety policies and promptly report hazards or incidents
- 8Drive adherence to all state, federal laws and company procedures for accidents or injuries
- 9Collaborate with multiple departments to support daily operations
- 10Assist with other duties assigned by the Operations Manager
Requirements5
- 1High School diploma or GED preferred
- 2Must be 18 years of age with a valid driver's license
- 3Able to safely drive a variety of vehicle makes, models, and sizes
- 4Automotive or auction experience preferred
- 5Proficiency with computer systems and applications
