Logistics Manager North American Operations
Overview
Own end to end North American logistics for a fast moving operations environment. Lead domestic and international transportation, freight partner management, and customs compliance across multiple carriers. Drive continuous improvement and cost optimization while supporting large retail deployments. Collaborate with Supply Chain, Operations, Procurement, and Customer Success to resolve complex logistics challenges. This role sits onsite in New York and offers hands on leadership in a contract capacity.
What You'll Do10
- 1Lead end to end North American logistics operations across domestic and international networks.
- 2Manage movement of parts systems equipment and palletized shipments across multiple transportation modes.
- 3Coordinate shipping activities with DHL FedEx UPS and freight providers for international and domestic shipments
- 4Create and manage inbound and outbound shipments including scheduling tracking carrier communication and issue resolution
- 5Ensure import export compliance trade documentation standards and regulatory requirements
- 6Maintain accurate logistics and inventory transactions within ERP systems including NetSuite
- 7Utilize WMS and ERP platforms to manage inventory logistics transactions and shipment visibility
- 8Develop track and report logistics KPIs to identify trends and optimize costs
- 9Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency reduce errors and cycle times
- 10Collaborate with warehouses suppliers carriers and customers to ensure on time delivery and inventory accuracy
Requirements10
- 12+ years of logistics and supply chain leadership experience with a strong focus on operational execution
- 2Experience shipping through DHL FedEx UPS LTL FTL and freight carriers
- 3Experience moving parts systems equipment and palletized freight
- 4Knowledge of import export compliance customs regulations and trade documentation
- 5Experience managing freight forwarders carriers and third party logistics providers
- 6Proficiency with ERP systems for logistics and inventory management NetSuite preferred
- 7Experience utilizing Warehouse Management Systems WMS
- 8Advanced Microsoft Excel skills data analysis reporting dashboards
- 9Experience using logistics tracking systems to monitor shipments and provide visibility to stakeholders
- 10Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Logistics Business or related field or equivalent professional experience
