Logistics Analyst I - Dick's Sporting Goods
Overview
The Logistics Analyst I leads outbound logistics operations at Distribution Centers. This role builds and optimizes store delivery schedules manages third-party carriers owns financial forecasting and P&L accountability for outbound transportation and drives on-time delivery performance. Collaboration with DC leadership ensures efficient execution cost management and continuous improvement.
What You'll Do7
- 1Lead daily execution of outbound store delivery schedules for the DC network
- 2Proactively communicate schedule changes with carriers stores Shipping/Loading teams and internal stakeholders
- 3Directly manage third-party dedicated contract carrier including performance monitoring issue resolution and relationship management
- 4Lead and participate in cross-functional process improvement and strategic projects leveraging technology and operational capabilities
- 5Provide advanced TMS production support serve as SME for logistics processes across supply chain systems and collaborate with IT on enhancements
- 6Coordinate shipments returns and act as primary liaison with DC leadership Loss Prevention Field Operations and Store Operations
- 7Contribute to departmental and local DC-specific objectives including delivery performance efficiency initiatives and leadership engagement
Requirements7
- 1Bachelor’s Degree in Business Finance Logistics or Supply Chain with 1–3 years’ transportation industry knowledge
- 2Strong written and verbal communication skills and stakeholder management abilities
- 3Execution skills project management knowledge and ability to drive projects and manage cross-functional teams
- 4Business/financial acumen with P&L management experience
- 5Customer-service orientation self-motivation results-orientation analytical skills problem-solving process and procedure orientation leadership capabilities
- 6Strategic thinking carrier management forecasting expertise knowledge of transportation industry regulations compliance
- 7Virtual interview requirement cameras on and prohibition of AI tools during assessment
