Operations Coordinator II – Logistics & Supply Chain
Overview
This role owns shipment planning and execution for a major paint manufacturer's distribution center. You coordinate carrier schedules, monitor order flow, and resolve delivery issues across 3-5 daily shipments. You report to the DC Operations Manager and work with sales, customer care, and transportation teams. You will use Excel and TMS systems to track performance and drive on-time delivery. - 4Audit carrier invoices against contracts in Excel, identifying billing errors.
- 5Coordinate inbound receipts with warehouse staff to align dock schedules and labor.
- 6Generate daily KPIs on on-time delivery and load accuracy, sharing with leadership.
- 7Lead weekly carrier performance reviews, pushing for corrective action on service gaps.
- 8Support peak season planning by adjusting carrier capacity and routing guides.
Requirements9
- 13-5 years in logistics coordination, transportation, or distribution operations.
- 2High school diploma required; associate's degree in Business or Supply Chain preferred.
- 3Hands-on experience with TMS and WMS systems for shipment tracking and order management.
- 4Strong Excel skills: pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and report generation.
- 5Ability to analyze operational data to spot trends and resolve discrepancies.
- 6Experience with carrier scheduling, dispatching, and freight claims.
- 7Knowledge of inventory control, warehousing, and receiving processes.
- 8Clear communication for cross-department coordination and customer issue resolution.
