Local Account Manager, Korean Business Development
Overview
You will own and grow a portfolio of Korean-speaking customer accounts at a Fortune 500 global logistics leader, driving retention and expansion. You will manage daily operations, build executive relationships, and implement strategic account plans. Collaborating with 19,000 professionals across 350+ locations, you will leverage CRM tools and Expeditors' global network. This role offers a path to deepen expertise in global supply chain management while shaping customer strategy.
What You'll Do10
- 1Manage assigned customer accounts, building strong day-to-day relationships and ensuring high satisfaction.
- 2Identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts and execute up-selling and cross-selling initiatives.
- 3Map customer organizations and develop strategic business plans aligned with global goals.
- 4Drive global alignment through regular meetings, business reviews, and joint calls across locations.
- 5Maintain accurate customer data in CRM and document SOPs per corporate standards.
- 6Resolve service issues promptly by coordinating with internal teams and escalating when necessary.
- 7Monitor account performance via revenue reports and KPI tracking to spot risks and growth areas.
- 8Promote Expeditors' value-added solutions, quantifying cost savings for customers.
- 9Support retention efforts by building relationships at all levels and fostering trust.
- 10Complete 52+ hours of annual training to enhance skills and stay current.
Requirements10
- 1University degree or equivalent business qualifications.
- 23+ years in account management, customer service, or business development, ideally in logistics.
- 3Korean language fluency (business level) for client interactions.
- 4Proven track record of growing accounts and identifying revenue opportunities.
- 5Strong relationship-building and communication skills across levels.
- 6Experience with Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
- 7Ability to manage multiple priorities and resolve issues cross-functionally.
- 8Project management and presentation skills.
- 9Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- 10Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
