Overview
You'll own pool safety at The Woodlands Country Club, ensuring every guest enjoys a secure and engaging water experience. You'll join a tight-knit Arcis Golf team that values proactive care and genuine hospitality. This role combines vigilant supervision with interactive guest entertainment, making each shift dynamic. You'll be the first responder in emergencies, stabilizing guests until EMS arrives. Your impact: a safe, clean, and welcoming aquatic environment for members and their families.
What You'll Do8
- 1Monitor pool and water features, enforcing safety rules and intervening in risky behavior.
- 2Perform CPR and AED in emergencies, providing first aid until EMS arrives.
- 3Lead poolside activities and entertainment for guests of all ages.
- 4Inspect pool equipment daily, reporting any hazards or maintenance needs.
- 5Keep the pool area spotless, including deck, furniture, and changing areas.
- 6Resolve guest concerns with a calm, friendly approach, ensuring a positive visit.
- 7Support management with special projects, from safety drills to member events.
- 8Stay current on lifeguard certifications and pool safety protocols.
Requirements9
- 1Current First Aid, CPR, and AED certification required.
- 2Current local/state lifeguard certification or license.
- 3Proven ability to swim, dive, and perform rescues in deep water.
- 41+ season of guest-facing experience in a pool or recreation setting.
- 5Excellent communication skills for clear instructions to groups.
- 6Strong attention to detail for spotting hazards and rule violations.
- 7Flexible schedule with evenings and weekends required.
- 8Ability to apply common sense to unique situations and respond quickly.
- 9Physical stamina to stand, swim, and lift up to 25 pounds.
