Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW) - Pediatric Therapy
Overview
You will provide ongoing special instruction and ABA services to children (ages birth-3) in their natural environments across Nassau and Suffolk counties. You will own the therapy plan, document progress, and educate families on intervention strategies. You will join a collaborative team of therapists and clinical supervisors, with access to a paperless billing and data collection system. This role offers a flexible schedule and the chance to make a direct impact on children with special needs.
What You'll Do8
- 1Provide ABA services and special instruction to children (ages birth-3) in homes, daycares, preschools, and community settings.
- 2Educate families and caregivers on intervention strategies to ensure active involvement and carry-over.
- 3Follow and implement each child's unique therapy plan, adjusting as needed to meet identified goals.
- 4Document progress and prepare reports following each session, submitting records within required timelines.
- 5Maintain confidentiality of child and family information per HIPAA and state regulations.
- 6Collaborate with clinical supervisors and administrative staff to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- 7Travel to assigned cases using personal vehicle or public transportation, and access locations with staircases.
- 8Sit on the floor, kneel, or crawl for extended periods during therapy sessions, and lift up to 10 pounds.
Requirements8
- 1Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in the State of New York.
- 21-2 years of experience working with children birth to 5, preferred but not required.
- 3Passion for working with children and families.
- 4Self-motivated and a team player who exercises patience and professionalism.
- 5Fluency in a language other than English is a plus.
- 6Ability to travel to and from assigned cases, including driving a personal vehicle, walking, or using public transportation.
- 7Ability to ascend and descend staircases.
- 8Ability to lift 10 pounds regularly.
Salary Insight
$108 - $121k per year
