What You'll Do8
- 1Execute MAC work on telecommunications devices at Medstar Georgetown and Washington Hospital locations.
- 2Receive and complete tickets for closet buildouts, rack and stack of equipment, and cable installation.
- 3Terminate and test CAT6e cabling using Fluke testers, ensuring signal integrity.
- 4Coordinate with the Project Manager to prioritize and schedule daily tasks.
- 5Maintain professional conduct as the face of the company in a healthcare setting.
- 6Follow infection control standards while working in patient care areas.
- 7Troubleshoot and resolve cabling issues, including fiber optic connections when required.
- 8Support wireline and wireless projects, including ISP work for healthcare clients.
Requirements8
- 15+ years of experience as a cable technician, with a focus on CAT6e terminations.
- 2Proficiency in testing with Fluke equipment.
- 3Experience in rack and stack and closet buildouts.
- 4Fiber optic experience is a plus.
- 5Experience with Leviton or Bertech OEM products is a plus.
- 6Prior work in healthcare or hospital environments, with knowledge of infection control standards.
- 7Strong customer-facing skills and professional demeanor.
- 8Ability to lead and take initiative in a team setting.
