Lead Project Superintendent (Multi-Family)
Overview
Impact Housing seeks a Lead Project Superintendent to drive construction excellence across large-scale modular developments in San Diego and Los Angeles. This role leads field teams, implements Lean Construction, oversees project schedules, manages budgets, ensures safety compliance, and supports the expansion of modular production capacity to meet ambitious production targets.
What You'll Do15
- 1Overall supervision of all project field construction including organization planning coordination and scheduling
- 2Implement Lean Construction methodologies
- 3Demonstrate expert knowledge of subcontract documents drawings and specifications to develop on-site plans
- 4Plan construction program including procedures plant layout equipment manpower and temporary construction services
- 5Take lead role in creating project schedule under Senior Project Manager or Project Executive
- 6Prepare detailed area and trade schedules keeping them updated and ensuring feasibility to meet deadlines
- 7Coordinate activities of inspection agencies and effect remedial actions
- 8Handle labor relations obtain assistance from Project Manager or labor relations representative
- 9Assist in monthly requisition preparation and ensure prompt review and approval
- 10Lead project-specific safety and accident prevention programs maintaining safe work areas through inspections
- 11Review material and labor budgets monitor project costs and identify improvement areas
- 12Provide leadership in quality processes document daily construction activities chair weekly subcontractor meetings
- 13Assist Project Engineers with shop drawing and submittal reviews
- 14Assist in estimating bidding opportunities and preconstruction services
- 15Verify As-Built drawings are current
Requirements11
- 115+ years of building construction experience with 5+ years supervising ground-up multi-family residential projects
- 2Extensive knowledge of Type III & IV multifamily residential projects
- 3Knowledge of construction scheduling line and grade surveying shoring mass excavation concrete steel wood structural systems building envelope MEPS systems engineering principles
- 4Working knowledge of various construction methods materials installation procedures tolerances
- 5Management leadership interpersonal skills for team building
- 6Understanding of coordinated team effort for successful project completion
- 7Modular experience is a plus
- 8Expertise in planning directing coordinating trades
- 9Knowledge of San Diego trades and permit process
- 10Solid computer skills with MS Office
- 11Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management or related field preferred

$160 - $180k per year
