Lead Installer at Sunrun Installation Services
Overview
The Lead Installer position leads a solar installation crew to deliver high quality residential projects. This role combines technical expertise with team leadership. You will own installations and mentor peers while contributing to a mission driven culture. Growth opportunities exist within a fast paced environment.
What You'll Do12
- 1Review inventory at loading dock to ensure assigned crew truck is stocked adequately
- 2Layout and assemble solar modules mechanical and structural mounts electrical equipment and tools in preparation of installation
- 3Apply weather sealing to roofing structure building or support mechanisms
- 4Assemble the racking solar modules panels or support structures as specified in project plan
- 5Ensure a clean and orderly job site
- 6Perform project clean up including client site and installation vehicle
- 7Maintain personal crew and job site safety at all times
- 8Participate in mandatory training sessions on new products installation methodology and safety
- 9Lead crew through safe effective and efficient installations
- 10Provide leadership technical expertise and support to fellow crew members
- 11Assist with solar battery installations
- 12Serve as acting foreperson in the forepersons absence
Requirements14
- 1High school diploma or equivalent
- 2Previous solar installation experience required
- 3Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license
- 4Adheres to company safety policies and procedures including ability to identify and report safety hazards
- 5Proven ability to meet deadlines and key metrics
- 6Willingness and ability to participate in the Power+ programs which means you may be cross trained to perform comparable work in other departments
- 7Works independently as a team player and drives results in a fast paced team based environment
- 8Solid logical decision making and troubleshooting skills with the ability to problem solve in a timely and effective manner
- 9Exercises good judgment takes ownership of issues or questions and will escalate problems to the appropriate persons
- 10Ability to distinguish colors such as red black yellow white green
- 11Physical demands include transporting materials up to 100 pounds with assistance and working in confined spaces
- 12Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions including excessive noise extreme heat cold wet environments
- 13Frequent use of hand functions requiring fine motor skills
- 145% travel required
