Installer - Residential Energy Operations
Overview
As an Installer on Tesla's Field Energy Operations team, you own the safe and timely installation of solar products on residential rooftops. Working with solar technology and energy systems, you support the Crew Lead and Electrician, build customer relationships, and ensure quality workmanship. This role offers hands-on learning in energy system construction, plus travel across the US. You'll join a mission-driven team accelerating the world's transition to sustainable energy.
What You'll Do6
- 1Support the Crew Lead and Electrician in installing Tesla Solar products on residential rooftops.
- 2Attend weekly team meetings and mandatory training sessions on new products and best installation practices.
- 3Follow building standards and codes when installing solar panels and support structures.
- 4Assist with routine maintenance on energy systems to ensure optimal performance.
- 5Manage time and tasks effectively with a sense of urgency to meet installation deadlines.
- 6Provide an exceptional experience to all customers, addressing questions and ensuring satisfaction.
Requirements7
- 1Vocational or technical school training preferred in a related field.
- 2Experience in roof work, general construction, or carpentry.
- 3Ability to safely handle power tools, hand tools, ladders, inverters, solar panels, panel boards, batteries, lumber, and roofing materials.
- 4Ability to work outside in extreme environments and at heights, with repetitive lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
- 5Travel is mandatory: able to travel up to 2 weeks at a time, several times a year within the US.
- 6Must have compliant government issued identification for domestic air travel and/or access to certain federal facilities.
- 7Valid driver's license required.
