What You'll Do10
- 1Clean and dust tables, chairs, desks, and surrounding areas, emptying ashtrays and trash receptacles, and replacing trash liners to keep guest areas free of debris.
- 2Sanitize restrooms by cleaning sinks, toilets, mirrors, wiping shelves, refilling toilet paper and paper towels, mopping floors, and disposing of trash.
- 3Audit inventory of cleaning supplies and paper goods in bathrooms and satellite storage, retrieving supplies from the basement, storing them, and completing inventory sheets.
- 4Conduct visual cleanliness inspections of guest and public areas, identifying issues and taking corrective action.
- 5Train Environmental Services Technicians on departmental policies, procedures, and proper cleaning techniques.
- 6Monitor team member performance, provide on-the-spot guidance, and report out-of-compliance behaviors to the Environmental Services Shift Manager.
- 7Model safe handling of cleaning chemicals, following OSHA guidelines and hotel safety protocols.
- 8Coordinate daily cleaning priorities with the shift manager, adapting to event schedules and guest needs.
- 9Respond to guest requests and complaints promptly, ensuring high satisfaction scores.
- 10Support emergency cleanup situations, such as spills or biohazards, with speed and precision.
Requirements10
- 11 year of housekeeping or custodial experience.
- 2Working knowledge of cleaning chemicals and chemical safety practices.
- 3Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
- 4Ability to stand and walk for up to 10 hours per shift.
- 5Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
- 6Ability to reach, kneel, and bend repeatedly during shifts.
- 7High school diploma or G.E.D. (preferred).
- 8Supervisory or lead experience in housekeeping (preferred).
- 9Experience in hotel, resort, or casino housekeeping (preferred).
- 10Ability to work graveyard shift, weekends, and holidays.
