Overview

You will own housekeeping, laundry, and floor care operations at a single healthcare site, managing a team of staff across multiple shifts. Reporting to regional leadership, you will coordinate with building administrators and residents to maintain a sanitary environment. This role demands hands-on supervision, training, and quality control to meet federal and state standards. You will be the key liaison between the facility and HCSG, ensuring every task aligns with our commitment to safety and resident satisfaction.

What You'll Do8

  • 1Manage housekeeping, laundry, and floor care staff, assigning tasks and overseeing performance across shifts.
  • 2Train staff on cleaning protocols, safety procedures, and proper use of PPE, cleaning solutions, and equipment.
  • 3Tour the building multiple times daily, using QCI documentation to assess work quality and compliance.
  • 4Track income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment records to maintain operational efficiency.
  • 5Communicate directives from facility administrators and HCSG managers to your team, ensuring alignment.
  • 6Enforce infection control and universal precautions, including handwashing and isolation procedures.
  • 7Respond promptly to the paging system for urgent cleaning or maintenance needs.
  • 8Represent HCSG positively by interacting courteously with residents, staff, and visitors.

Requirements9

  • 12+ years of environmental services experience in a healthcare setting, with personnel supervision.
  • 2High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 3Ability to follow oral and written instructions and perform routine tasks daily.
  • 4Capability to lead without direct supervision after training, ensuring safety for yourself and others.
  • 5Must be punctual and attend work as scheduled.
  • 6Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies as required.
  • 7Physical ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
  • 8Willingness to work around food and cleaning products.
  • 9Must reside within the service area.
