House Person – Hotel Housekeeping & Guest Service
Overview
You'll own the cleanliness of public hotel areas, ensuring each guest sees pristine corridors, lobbies, and service spaces. Working alongside the housekeeping team, you'll handle high-volume trash collection, linen transport, and surface cleaning across a busy hotel. Your coordinated efforts directly impact guest satisfaction scores and the property's reputation. This role offers a clear path to Housekeeping Supervisor or Front Office Manager through demonstrated ownership and reliability.
What You'll Do10
- 1Greet guests warmly and direct them to services, maintaining a professional and courteous manner.
- 2Inspect your assigned areas each shift, noting and reporting maintenance issues immediately.
- 3Collect trash from service landings and dispose of it in the outside dumpsters.
- 4Vacuum and dust guest corridors to maintain a spotless appearance.
- 5Pick up soiled linens from floors and transport them to the laundry collection site.
- 6Deliver fresh linen to assigned sections, ensuring each floor is stocked.
- 7Respond to guest requests for assistance or extra items within 10 minutes.
- 8Step in as a room attendant during peak periods or staffing shortages.
- 9Follow HHM's EarthView sustainability practices, sorting waste and conserving supplies.
- 10Clean and organize public areas including lobbies, restrooms, and stairwells.
Requirements8
- 1High School diploma preferred.
- 2Previous housekeeping experience required or equivalent training preferred.
- 3Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts.
- 4Ability to stand for 8+ hours and walk continuously during your shift.
- 5Strength to push, pull, and lift items up to 25 pounds.
- 6Comfort with bending, kneeling, and reaching to clean all surfaces.
- 7Willingness to work with cleaning chemicals following MSDS and OSHA standards.
- 8Commitment to guest satisfaction and departmental goals.
