Overview
You will own macro-driven demand forecasting across Analog Devices' end markets, using internal and external data to guide forecast biasing. You'll build frameworks that translate macro signals into actionable insights, partnering with supply chain, FP&A, and data science teams. This role centers on model explainability and bridging technical output to executive decisions. You'll differentiate by integrating economic indicators into machine learning workflows at a semiconductor leader.
What You'll Do7
- 1Analyze internal orders, backlog, and bookings against external macroeconomic datasets to detect demand shifts across markets like Aerospace & Defense, Automotive, and Data Centers.
- 2Design frameworks to quantify macro signals for forecasting and scenario planning, identifying leading indicators and structural changes.
- 3Own forecast biasing decisions by translating macro insights into adjustments, partnering with Planning, Business Units, and FP&A.
- 4Interpret machine learning forecast outputs to explain drivers and limitations for senior leadership, improving trust and adoption.
- 5Enhance demand signal detection using statistical and machine learning techniques, integrating external signals into feature engineering and model inputs.
- 6Support scenario planning with data-driven market interpretation for demand inflection points, risks, and opportunities.
- 7Communicate complex analytical results in concise narratives for non-technical stakeholders, influencing business decisions.
Requirements8
- 16-10+ years in demand forecasting, economic analysis, or advanced analytics.
- 2Bachelor's or Master's in Data Science, Economics, Statistics, or Engineering.
- 3Strong understanding of macroeconomic concepts and industry demand drivers.
- 4Experience applying macroeconomic or market insights within forecasting, planning, or analytics workflows.
- 5Experience with internal operational data and external market datasets.
- 6Proven ability to interpret analytical outputs and influence business decisions.
- 7Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- 8Familiarity with SQL and Snowflake for data platforms.
