Lead Audio/Video Technician, AV/IT Integration & Field Leadership
Overview
Lead Audio/Video Technician will own field installations for residential, commercial, and hospitality projects at scale in Chester County. You will lead a small team to install and troubleshoot A/V equipment, run and label cables, and set up basic networks. You’ll train customers on technology usage and maintain strong client relationships. This role blends hands-on installation with on-site project leadership and customer service, delivering premium audiovisual experiences.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and lead field installations for audio, video, and control systems including rack assembly, projectors, TVs, speakers, networks, and automation
- 2Scale cable running, testing, labeling, and ensuring proper signal flow across AV and IT components
- 3Drive basic network configuration and integration of AV equipment with routers, access points, switches, and services
- 4Lead and train customers on proper use of technology and applications to maximize system value
- 5Manage time on customer sites and travel while maintaining a positive client relationship
- 6Ship tasks efficiently to meet project timelines and ensure equipment functions properly
- 7Design and implement practical AV solutions for residential, commercial, and hospitality clients
- 8Debug and troubleshoot on-site issues and perform minor service repairs as needed
- 9Collaborate with team members to execute projects with quality craftsmanship
- 10Ensure safety and compliance while working in varying site conditions
Requirements9
- 1High School Diploma or GED
- 22-3 years' experience in AV/IT industry
- 3Experience with audio, video, surveillance systems and wired/wireless networks
- 4Knowledge of basic signal flow for audio, video, and control
- 5General knowledge of URC Total Control systems a plus
- 6Clean valid driver’s license
- 7Physical ability to lift 25 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally, climb ladders, and work in small spaces and on scissor lifts 15 ft or higher
- 8Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- 9Comfortable working on customer sites in Chester County and surrounding areas
