What You'll Do10
- 1Physically install TVs, speakers, motorized shades, and other A/V gear in residential sites.
- 2Build A/V racks with precision, managing cable paths and component placement.
- 3Run low-voltage wiring: cable, HDMI, Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6a, RG6, and fiber optic, including terminations.
- 4Troubleshoot on-site technical issues and program A/V systems to ensure flawless operation.
- 5Install speaker systems: floor standing, bookshelf, and architectural.
- 6Mount flat panels on drywall with static, tilting, or articulating arms.
- 7Set up front projection systems, including on-wall screens and ceiling projectors.
- 8Wire lighting and shade control for power and control signals.
- 9Communicate with clients and builders to deliver top-quality service and satisfaction.
- 10Collaborate with sales and design teams to complete projects on time and within scope.
Requirements5
- 12+ years of hands-on installation with A/V equipment, TVs, speakers, networking gear, and motorized shades.
- 2Proven skill in low-voltage wiring and neat cable management.
- 3Experience programming A/V systems and resolving installation challenges on-site.
- 4Background in construction, carpentry, or electrical work preferred.
- 5Knowledge of Lutron and Wi-Fi networks a plus.
