A/V Installation Technician, Field & Carpentry
Overview
You will own field A/V installation projects across Wood Dale and Chicago, IL, combining carpentry skills with IT knowledge to deliver classroom technology upgrades. You join a close-knit team at eBryIT where your mechanical expertise and customer service keep clients coming back. When installations slow, you move to our Wood Dale warehouse for computer configuration work, adding variety. This role offers 5+ years of hands-on field experience with ActivePanel boards and power tools, plus the chance to grow with a company that values your versatility.
What You'll Do8
- 1Climb ladders and lift devices up to 50 lbs to install A/V equipment in classrooms.
- 2De-install existing classroom equipment, then install ActivePanel boards and mobile stands up to 86 inches.
- 3Tag assets and move equipment between buildings and floors within Chicago schools.
- 4Coordinate with your team to complete projects on schedule, ensuring minimal disruption.
- 5Remove offsite trash after installations, keeping every site clean and safe.
- 6Use allen wrenches, screwdrivers, and power drills to assemble and mount hardware.
- 7Travel daily to different schools in Wood Dale and Chicago, relying on your own reliable transportation.
- 8Work independently with little guidance, managing your own time and priorities.
Requirements8
- 13+ years in carpentry, electrical, or A/V installation roles.
- 2Proven skill with basic tools: allen wrenches, power drills, and ladders.
- 3Ability to lift 50+ lbs and climb ladders daily.
- 4Experience with ActivePanel boards or similar interactive displays preferred.
- 5Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and a clean driving record for the last 3 years.
- 6Reliable transportation to travel to Wood Dale and Chicago job sites.
- 7Strong customer service and interpersonal skills for client communication.
- 8Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
