AV Service Technician
Overview
Dedicated AV Service Technician leading installation configuration maintenance and repair of professional audio video sound lighting and control systems across diverse client environments. Responsible for deploying equipment performing site assessments installing and integrating AV components calibrating systems and providing technical support. Requires strong problem solving skills and ability to operate independently in fast paced settings.
What You'll Do14
- 1Install and system deployment
- 2Perform site assessments to determine installation requirements and project needs
- 3Install configure and integrate AV equipment including projectors video walls microphones speakers amplifiers lighting systems and control interfaces
- 4Pull terminate and test cabling fabricate equipment racks and complete system wiring activities
- 5Calibrate commission and test AV systems to verify performance and compliance with project specifications
- 6Interpret technical documentation including schematics manuals engineering drawings and related design documents
- 7Perform preventative maintenance diagnostics and inspections on audiovisual systems
- 8Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues both onsite and remotely
- 9Coordinate repair and warranty related activities with manufacturers and technical support resources
- 10Maintain accurate service records reports and documentation related to service activities and repairs
- 11Serve as primary technical contact for client service requests provide onsite user training and guidance deliver services with focus on safety professionalism responsiveness and customer satisfaction
- 12Stay informed on emerging AV technologies products and industry best practices maintain required certifications training and technical knowledge
- 13Coordinate with Project Management Logistics and Warehouse teams regarding equipment handling and project support activities
- 14Assist colleagues with large scale installations service projects and complex technical issues
Requirements9
- 1Proven experience in the audiovisual industry with installation service maintenance and troubleshooting of audio video and lighting systems
- 2Ability to read and interpret technical drawings schematics blueprints and related documentation
- 3Strong communication interpersonal and customer service skills
- 4Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform work at heights or within confined spaces
- 5Valid driver's license and passport
- 6Willingness to work evenings weekends and participate in on call support schedules
- 7Familiarity with AV networking technologies
- 8Experience working with control systems and integrated AV environments
- 9Experience supporting cruise entertainment hospitality or similar commercial environments

$65 - $90k per year
