Your work spans 75% in-house electronics repair and 25% field service travel, with a focus on board-level circuit analysis and component-level fixes. You will collaborate with internal service and engineering teams to resolve technical issues and ensure equipment performs to spec. You will use oscilloscopes, multimeters, and soldering irons daily, with travel assignments ranging from single-day calls to multi-day installations.

What You'll Do8

  • 2Perform board-level circuit analysis and component-level repairs on printed circuit boards.
  • 3Document all repair activities and maintain accurate service records in the system.
  • 4Travel to customer sites to install, commission, and troubleshoot transit equipment, with travel up to 25%.
  • 5Execute system upgrades and preventive maintenance on logic boards and embedded systems.
  • 6Verify proper operation and functionality after installation or repair using functional testing.
  • 7Provide professional technical support to customers, serving as the technical representative on site.
  • 8Collaborate with internal service and engineering teams to resolve complex technical issues.

Requirements8

  • 11-3 years of experience in field service, electronics repair, or electromechanical maintenance, or a technical degree/certification.
  • 2Hands-on soldering experience for component-level work.
  • 3Experience troubleshooting printed circuit boards at the component level.
  • 4Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and PCB drawings.
  • 5Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in the field.
  • 6Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
  • 7Willingness to travel 25% with flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends.
  • 8Familiarity with modular equipment installation and assembly is preferred.
