Overview
Automatic Products seeks a skilled Laser Marking Technician to create permanent part markings for aerospace components in a fast-paced environment. The professional will set up and operate fiber laser equipment while interpreting engineering drawings and ensuring compliance with quality standards. What You'll Do11
- 1Set up and program fiber laser marking equipment including Epilog systems
- 2Create and edit laser marking layouts graphics logos serial numbers and identification marks
- 3Read and interpret engineering drawings CAD models and customer specifications
- 4Import and manipulate CAD files DXF artwork for laser marking applications
- 5Verify marking content location size orientation and legibility according to requirements
- 6Perform first article in-process and final inspections of marked parts
- 7Ensure compliance with aerospace traceability serialization and product identification standards
- 8Select and configure laser parameters fixtures and setups based on material type
- 9Maintain production records travelers and quality documentation
- 10Troubleshoot marking quality issues and adjust processes accordingly
- 11Support continuous improvement initiatives for laser marking productivity and quality
Requirements9
- 1High school diploma or equivalent with 1-3 years manufacturing experience
- 2Experience operating laser marking engraving CNC or similar equipment
- 3Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings work instructions
- 4Proficiency with CAD files DXF files and technical graphics
- 5Strong attention to detail commitment to quality basic computer skills
- 6Experience with Epilog Fiber Laser systems preferred
- 7Familiarity with UID marking serialization and product traceability requirements
- 8Knowledge of AS9100 quality systems and aerospace drawing interpretation
- 9Experience with AutoCAD SolidWorks Adobe Illustrator CorelDRAW or similar software
