Laboratory & EHS Manager
Overview
Lead a team of Laboratory Technicians and oversee the EHS department at Possehl Connector Services in Charlotte NC. This full-time on-site role requires managing environmental permits and ensuring compliance with local regulations while driving operational efficiencies.
What You'll Do11
- 1Manage environmental permits and required programs through collaboration with Facilities and Maintenance teams
- 2Implement risk management strategies and develop metrics for continuous improvement
- 3Optimize laboratory processes to increase throughput while maintaining quality standards
- 4Support documentation control for EHS policies and procedures
- 5Supervise technical staff including supervision coaching and professional development
- 6Prioritize and complete testing requirements across multiple vendors
- 7Create and track purchase orders and manage lab equipment calibration schedules
- 8Maintain inventory of lab supplies and consumables
- 9Track production data chemical usage and generate compliance reports
- 10Handle wastewater sample collection and prepare quarterly reports for municipal authorities
- 11Drive proactive solutions for technical challenges and process enhancements
Requirements11
- 1Bachelor's degree in Materials Science Chemical Engineering or related field
- 25+ years experience in electroplating or surface finishing processes
- 3Proven leadership in manufacturing environments
- 4Wastewater Operator Physical Chemical D Certification
- 5Strong understanding of electroplating chemistry and equipment
- 6Experience with Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing methodologies
- 7Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards for electroplating
- 8Advanced knowledge of quality control and assurance practices
- 9Proficiency in electroplating techniques and technologies
- 10Experience with chemical analysis and testing methods
- 11Analytical skills focused on data-driven decision making
