Kitchen Helper/Dishwasher, Part-Time Senior Living
Overview
You will serve meals and keep the dining room spotless at Camellia Gardens, a premier independent living community for active seniors. Work Saturday-Sunday 1pm-8:30pm in a cross-trained kitchen role that builds toward Cook, Sous Chef, or Executive Chef positions. The team values hospitality, integrity, and compassion, and you will directly improve the lives of residents every shift.
What You'll Do8
- 1Serve meals to residents at their tables, ensuring a welcoming dining experience.
- 2Clear dishes from resident tables and transport them to the dishwashing station.
- 3Wash and store dishes, pots, and utensils using commercial dishwasher equipment.
- 4Set dining room tables with clean linens, silverware, and glassware before each meal.
- 5Prepare light food items such as salads, desserts, and beverages as directed by the kitchen lead.
- 6Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and dining area, following sanitation protocols.
- 7Restock supplies including plates, cups, and napkins to ensure readiness for next service.
- 8Follow food safety guidelines and hold a valid food handlers permit.
Requirements7
- 118+ years old per state labor regulations.
- 2Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with elderly residents.
- 3Friendly, professional, and energetic personality with a passion for serving others.
- 4Working knowledge of cleaning and sanitation procedures in a foodservice environment.
- 5Must hold or obtain a food handlers permit as required by Massachusetts state regulations.
- 6Strong desire to advance in the culinary industry by working hard and meeting deadlines.
- 7Availability to work Saturday-Sunday 1pm-8:30pm without exception.
