IT Operations Manager Zipliens
Overview
Lead Zipliens internal IT and security operations as the Fractional CISO reports directly to the CTO. Own day to day execution of security and compliance strategy while protecting systems and client relationships. This hands‑on role bridges IT and information security managing SaaS devices employee access and vendor relationships. You will drive adoption of new tools like AI and serve as the first point of contact for security incidents.
What You'll Do11
- 1Keep track of SaaS tools and devices and own access management for sensitive business systems reviewing new software or AI tool requests
- 2Grant adjust and remove employee access as staff hire change roles or leave and run recurring checks to confirm compliance
- 3Apply data handling rules flagging sensitive information and maintain retention schedules per contract tax and employment law
- 4Serve as first point of contact for security concerns routing and tracking routine issues and leading response engagement within 15 minutes for severe incidents
- 5Serve as subject matter expert on technology policies answer employee questions provide guidance and drive adoption of policy updates
- 6Execute against security and compliance strategy contributing informed input on client contracts and supporting HR with training completion and annual policy sign off
- 7Own relationship with IT provider and its security monitoring service as main point of contact conducting regular check ins staying on top of tickets and renewals approving invoices and ensuring internal processes meet security standards
- 8Maintain vendor inventory tier security documentation contract status and business owner for each vendor even where day to day ownership sits elsewhere
- 9Provide hands‑on IT support for day‑to‑day technology needs and projects working alongside the IT provider rather than solely in oversight capacity
- 10Own rollout and adoption of approved AI tools including license assignment practical guidance and change management to improve internal IT and security processes
- 11Have 5+ years in IT operations systems administration or management with meaningful decision ownership and hands‑on technical experience not just vendor oversight

- 2Direct experience responding to a real security incident not just training on one
- 3Grounding in security and compliance to personally execute such as familiarity with SOC 2 or NIST CSF and experience in regulated or client‑data‑sensitive industry
- 4Demonstrated ability to drive adoption of new processes or tools across a company not just design them on paper
- 5Working knowledge of identity and access management fundamentals such as single sign‑on multi‑factor authentication and least privilege access
- 6Experience managing or coordinating with outsourced third‑party vendors
- 7Strong documentation habits and clear communication skills especially under pressure during an active incident
- 8Ability to work on‑site at least three days per week 60% in Franklin TN office
