IT Analyst II - Service Desk & Endpoint Support
Overview
You deploy and support hardware and software for end users at Firefly Aerospace, a space and defense company scaling from Earth to Moon. You own endpoint security through patching and encryption, and you build the IT foundation for launch operations. You join a Service Desk team reporting to the IT Operations Manager in Cedar Park, TX, with quarterly travel to launch sites. What You'll Do7
- 1Install, diagnose, repair, and maintain end-user hardware and software, including Windows and MacOS systems.
- 2Grant and revoke access to systems using Active Directory and Azure AD.
- 3Resolve issues reported by internal users, following documented workflows and industry standards.
- 4Escalate complex issues to appropriate technical resources while documenting solutions in JIRA.
- 5Maintain asset inventory and coordinate with team members to ensure office hardware levels meet demand.
- 6Create user documentation and knowledge base articles for common issues and procedures.
- 7Participate in an on-call rotation to support critical space mission timelines.
Requirements9
- 1High school diploma with 4+ years relevant work experience, or a mix of higher education and work experience.
- 2Knowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD, Microsoft 365, and Windows operating systems.
- 3Excellent customer service skills to explain technical instructions to all skill levels.
- 4Solid understanding of PC and laptop hardware, including internal components.
- 5Basic knowledge of networking devices such as switches and routers.
- 6Technical troubleshooting, diagnostics, and incident management skills.
- 7Ability to prioritize workload effectively and stay current with common computer operations tools.
- 8Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- 9Desired: Associate Degree in IT or related field, CompTIA A+ certification, experience with Microsoft SCCM, GCC-High, JIRA, Confluence, MacOS or Linux support, and scripting for automation.
