I/O Design Engineer, Analog & Mixed-Signal ICs at Broadcom
Overview
Own the design and verification of CMOS I/O, high precision references, op-amps, comparators and PORs across advanced nodes. Collaborate with layout and verification teams to ensure silicon readiness and device performance. Contribute to AI program IPs and provide thorough documentation for integration and bring-up. This role blends analog design excellence with rigorous SPICE simulations and physical design oversight to deliver high-quality silicon solutions.
What You'll Do7
- 1Design CMOS I/O and analog blocks including bandgap references, op amps, comparators and POR circuits
- 2Run AC/DC simulations to validate performance, signal integrity, jitter and power metrics
- 3Perform transistor reliability and EMIR analysis to ensure device robustness
- 4Collaborate with layout teams to oversee physical design and verification
- 5Develop and maintain Verilog, Synopsys Liberty and IBIS models
- 6Create technical documentation including datasheets, application notes and integration guides
- 7Support chip-level integration and silicon bring-up in test chips and customer products
Requirements5
- 1MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering
- 26+ years of I/O or analog circuit design experience
- 3Proficiency in Cadence Virtuoso Schematic/Layout capture and SPICE/Spectre
- 4Strong knowledge of I/O protocols GPIO I2C I3C eMMC RGMII SPMI
- 5Experience with advanced CMOS FinFET and GAA process nodes and PPA tradeoffs
