Audio IC Design Engineer, Analog & Mixed-Signal
Overview
Own the design of audio focused analog and mixed-signal ICs at scale from architecture through silicon bring-up. Collaborate with cross functional teams across design, layout and validation to deliver high performance, low power audio IC solutions. This role centers on Class-D amplifiers, power management and audio signal chains with hands on testing and characterization. The position offers exposure to end to end silicon development in a collaborative environment.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and design audio IC blocks including Class-D amplifiers ADC front ends and analog signal chains
- 2Design transistor level analog and mixed signal circuits such as regulators bandgap references POR circuits ADCs and comparators
- 3Perform SPICE simulations including PVT Monte Carlo and post layout with parasitic extraction
- 4Drive silicon bring up debugging and detailed characterization of audio and power management ICs
- 5Lead hands on bench testing with oscilloscopes signal generators spectrum analyzers to validate design performance
- 6Collaborate with layout engineers to guide floorplanning and LVS/DRC closure
- 7Define and execute test plans with validation and test engineering teams for production coverage
- 8Engage in customer discussions and technical reviews to aid integration of audio ICs
- 9Improve design flows methodologies and automation for analog and mixed signal development
- 10Document designs simulations characterization results and guidelines for stakeholders
Requirements10
- 16–10 years of experience in analog and mixed-signal IC design
- 2Proven transistor level analog circuit design experience using CMOS technologies
- 3Strong background in biasing gain stages references and feedback architectures
- 4Hands on mixed signal circuit design including interfaces between analog and digital domains
- 5Experience across full silicon lifecycle including tapeout bring up and validation
- 6Proficiency with Cadence Virtuoso for schematic entry and layout collaboration
- 7Experience with Spectre HSPICE or APS simulators for transistor level analysis
- 8Experience with PVT analysis Monte Carlo and post-layout simulations with parasitics
- 9Strong skills in stability noise and mismatch analysis for precision analog and audio circuits
- 10Experience with Class-D or Class-AB audio power amplifiers and full audio signal chains
