Staff System Applications Engineer, Consumer Audio
Overview
Own the integration of ADI's audio solutions into high-volume consumer products at Analog Devices. Partner with leading OEMs to deliver next-generation audio playback systems, driving hardware, power, and signal processing performance. Collaborate across system boundaries to translate complex customer requirements into production-ready designs. Directly influence product direction through customer insights and technical expertise. This role spans hardware, power, and signal processing, demanding a system mindset and customer-facing authority.
What You'll Do6
- 1Serve as trusted technical partner to key customers, solving system-level challenges across hardware, firmware, and algorithms.
- 2Support customer evaluation, bring-up, validation, and production ramp for smart amplifiers and Class-D speaker amplifier signal chains.
- 3Drive system performance optimization, including tuning and algorithm integration for audio DSP.
- 4Define and support system architectures across audio signal chain, speaker path, and power integration.
- 5Deliver reference designs, validation strategies, and debug support for portable audio systems.
- 6Influence product direction and roadmap through customer insights and hands-on engagement.
Requirements10
- 15+ years in consumer audio systems or related mixed-signal/embedded platforms.
- 2Proven success in a customer-facing engineering role with system-level debugging and problem-solving skills.
- 3Working knowledge of audio or system performance fundamentals.
- 4Experience in at least one of: analog/mixed-signal hardware, acoustics or electro-acoustic systems, power systems including DC/DC, signal processing systems, or embedded/firmware-based systems.
- 5Ability to operate across multiple technical domains with a system mindset.
- 6Previous work supporting high-volume consumer products is preferred.
- 7Experience with speaker protection algorithms, audio tuning, and enhancement is preferred.
- 8Familiarity with audio DSP concepts and exposure to acoustic measurements is preferred.
- 9Mechanical design, programming, scripting, or PCB design experience is a plus.
- 10Korean language skills are a plus.
