Inventory Auditor - Warehouse Operations
Overview
You own inventory accuracy at a furniture and appliance distribution center in Orlando, managing stock counts and reconciliations across 5,000+ SKUs. You work with the Warehouse Manager to keep the WMS updated and resolve system issues with IT. You operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move stock and support order fulfillment. This role emphasizes data integrity, process improvement, and proactive problem-solving.
What You'll Do8
- 1Conduct regular cycle counts and full inventory counts to verify stock levels against WMS records.
- 2Reconcile physical counts with system data, investigating and resolving discrepancies or reporting reasons.
- 3Operate pallet jacks and forklifts to unload, load, and arrange materials in the warehouse.
- 4Update the electronic inventory system with accurate stock movements and adjustments.
- 5Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to maintain an accurate inventory system and address issues.
- 6Generate inventory reports detailing overstock, missing items, and other discrepancies.
- 7Resolve warehouse management system issues with IT support and recommend corrective actions.
- 8Assist with order tracking and resolve order-related discrepancies to ensure timely fulfillment.
Requirements9
- 12+ years experience in distribution center inventory control, preferably with furniture or appliances.
- 22+ years inventory management experience with proven ability to reconcile stock counts.
- 31+ year forklift operation experience, with ability to safely operate warehouse equipment.
- 4High school diploma or GED required.
- 5Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and inventory control procedures.
- 6Database management skills with experience using a personal computer or portable device.
- 7Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- 8Excellent verbal communication and writing skills for reporting and collaboration.
- 9Ability to meet deadlines and quickly grasp new technologies and applications.
