Warehouse Associate 1, Furniture Distribution
Overview
Own the inbound and outbound flow at a furniture distribution center handling 100+ items daily. You will unload trailers, move furniture with dollies and pallet jacks, and ensure every order ships accurate and damage-free. Work alongside a team of 50+ associates in a 500,000 sq ft facility, reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor. This role stands out for its focus on safety and precision, with OSHA standards and RF Scanner technology at the core.
What You'll Do8
- 1Unload trailers by hand, moving boxes and furniture with dollies and pallet jacks.
- 2Stage incoming inventory by scanning labels with RF Scanners and placing items in designated storage zones.
- 3Compare outbound furniture against invoices before loading contractor vehicles, flagging any mismatches.
- 4Inspect each piece for damage or flaws, setting aside items that fail quality checks.
- 5Assemble furniture per order specifications, tightening bolts and aligning panels for safe transport.
- 6Lift and move products up to 100 lbs using proper techniques to prevent injury.
- 7Maintain a clean, organized workspace by sweeping aisles and stacking pallets after each shift.
- 8Meet daily productivity targets for receiving and shipping, tracking progress on handheld devices.
Requirements7
- 11-2 years working in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution center environment.
- 2High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- 3Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs repeatedly throughout a shift.
- 4Comfortable operating dollies, pallet jacks, and RF Scanners.
- 5Willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
- 6Able to withstand climate changes in a non-temperature-controlled warehouse.
- 7No prior computer skills required; training provided on RF Scanner systems.
