Overview
As a logistics intern at Expeditors, you will own a hands-on structured experience, working side-by-side with our global team to master the processes, terminology, and skills of international freight forwarding. What You'll Do8
- 1Shadow logistics coordinators to learn shipment lifecycle from booking to delivery, using CargoWise and Expeditors' internal systems
- 2Process documentation for international shipments, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading
- 3Coordinate with carriers and customs brokers to ensure timely pickup and delivery, resolving discrepancies via phone and email
- 4Support the team in data entry and reporting using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
- 5Assist with last-minute customer requests and project support, demonstrating a sense of urgency and adaptability
- 6Participate in structured training sessions on logistics terminology, company policies, and professional development
- 7Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operational workflows, improving accuracy and timeliness
- 8Own small-scale process improvement tasks, such as updating standard operating procedures or organizing digital files

- 1Working towards a college degree with targeted graduation in the next two years
