Intern Behavior Therapist, Pediatric ABA & Family Support
Overview
Behavior Therapist position supporting pediatric clients in home and community settings. You will collaborate with BCBA supervision to implement ABA plans for children with special needs and assist families with tools for consistency. This role emphasizes in-person, part-time hours with weekend availability to meet program needs. You will join a mission-driven team focused on high-quality services and ethical care.
What You'll Do5
- 1Build ABA instruction according to the BCBA plan and track child progress over the first 90 days
- 2Collaborate with the BCBA and therapy team during case meetings to refine plans
- 3Engage families with debriefs after sessions and provide home and community strategies
- 4Collect daily data and maintain the child’s program book weekly
- 5Maintain confidentiality in accordance with state and federal regulations
Requirements4
- 1Must have passion for working with children and families
- 2At least 1 year working with children in a supervised setting OR currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in psychology healthcare human services education or related field
- 3Experience using ABA preferred but not required
- 4Successful completion of 20 hour classroom training provided by Achieve Beyond and passing grade on competency exam upon completion of training
