Behavior Technician, ABA & Autism Support
Overview
You'll deliver 1:1 in-home ABA therapy to children and teens with Autism, implementing personalized behavior plans and collecting data under BCBA guidance. You'll join a team of dedicated behavior technicians supported by BCBA supervisors, with 18 years of clinical excellence. What You'll Do8
- 1Implement personalized behavior plans for children and teens with Autism or developmental disabilities in their homes, using ABA techniques.
- 2Collect and record behavioral data on each session, ensuring accuracy for BCBA program adjustments.
- 3Support skill development through play, communication, and daily living activities, following the BCBA-designed protocols.
- 4Empower families by modeling ABA strategies and providing compassionate guidance during sessions.
- 5Collaborate with the BCBA supervisor to carry out individualized treatment goals and adjust approaches as needed.
- 6Document each session in a timely manner, noting responses, progress, and any observable behaviors.
- 7Travel between client homes to deliver therapy, tracking mileage for reimbursement.
- 8Maintain a clean and safe therapy environment, ensuring materials are ready for each session.
Requirements9
- 11-2 years experience working with children, though paid training is provided for entry-level candidates.
- 2Bilingual Spanish-English strongly preferred, to support diverse families.
- 3Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel to client homes.
- 4High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in child development, psychology, or related field is a plus.
- 5CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire.
- 6Pass a background check as required by state regulations.
- 7Reliable schedule availability for afternoon, evening, or weekend hours.
- 8Strong communication and empathy when interacting with children and families.
- 9Ability to stand, kneel, and play actively for extended periods during sessions.
