Industrial Sports Medicine Professional, Ergonomics & Injury Prevention
Overview
You will own on-site injury prevention and early discomfort management for warehouse workers at a single location in Middle River, MD, averaging 9 hours per week across 3 days. You'll be the go-to expert in body mechanics, OSHA First Aid standards, and ergonomic solutions, working autonomously within a supportive team. What You'll Do8
- 1Build rapport with client employees and management to foster trust and open communication about discomforts and prevention strategies.
- 2Deliver one-on-one coaching on body mechanics and stretches to reduce injury risk, using your knowledge of musculoskeletal health.
- 3Implement the Early Discomfort Management (EDM) program, documenting every interaction and outcome in Briotix Health's web-based system.
- 4Provide OSHA-compliant first aid and care for work and non-work related discomforts, escalating as needed per protocol.
- 5Conduct functional employment testing, return-to-work assessments, and onsite ergonomic evaluations, including virtual and office settings.
- 6Present group training sessions on injury prevention and ergonomics to client employees, adapting content to their specific job tasks.
- 7Complete detailed reports for every service within 24 hours, ensuring accuracy and timeliness for client transparency.
- 8Collaborate with Briotix Health stakeholders to identify ergonomic improvement opportunities and contribute to client safety programs.
Requirements8
- 1B.S. in Athletic Training, Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or related field.
- 2Current CPR/AED certification (Professional Rescuer, BLS Healthcare Provider, or equivalent).
- 31+ years of customer service experience, demonstrating strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- 4Demonstrated knowledge of musculoskeletal injury prevention and care, with ability to apply OSHA standards.
- 5Ergonomic certification or training preferred, but not required.
- 61-2 years of experience in industrial or office ergonomics, industrial sports medicine, or functional job testing preferred.
- 7Physical ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds, with frequent standing, walking, sitting, or squatting.
- 8Valid state license or certification in good standing where services are provided.
