Industrial Sports Medicine Professional - Phoenix AZ
Overview
Certified Athletic Trainers and allied health professionals deliver injury prevention and early discomfort management for warehouse and manufacturing workers across Phoenix, Tempe, Chandler, and Gilbert. You serve as the on-site expert in OSHA first aid standards, body mechanics, and ergonomic solutions, rotating through up to two client sites per day. You collaborate with Briotix Health stakeholders to build strong relationships, reduce workplace injuries, and drive employee well-being. This role offers autonomy, a supportive team culture, and growth through mentorship and specialized training.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build trust with client employees through professional, engaging 1:1 interactions and group education sessions on injury prevention and body mechanics.
- 2Deliver on-site care for work and non-work-related discomforts using the Early Discomfort Management (EDM) program.
- 3Maintain a thorough knowledge of OSHA health and safety practices, following established first aid standards and guidelines.
- 4Perform functional employment testing, return-to-work and stay-at-work services, and ergonomic assessments as required by client contracts.
- 5Document services with detailed, timely reports in Briotix Health's web-based system, ensuring accuracy for client and regulatory needs.
- 6Adapt to rotating shifts (early morning, mid-day, evening) between 6:00am and 6:00pm, averaging 35-40 hours weekly with two site visits per day.
- 7Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory standards at each worksite, reporting any hazards or incidents promptly.
- 8Partner with Briotix Health stakeholders to align service delivery with client expectations and company goals.
- 9Participate in mentorship programs, DEI=B focus groups, and continuous professional development opportunities.
- 10Support additional duties as assigned to meet client and company objectives.
Requirements8
- 1Degree in Athletic Training, Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology, Physical Therapy, or Occupational Therapy.
- 2Appropriate certifications and/or state license in good standing in each state where services are provided.
- 3Current CPR certification: CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, BLS Healthcare Provider, or equivalent.
- 4Demonstrated knowledge of musculoskeletal injury care and human movement.
- 51+ years in customer service, with strong communication and coaching skills.
- 61-2 years in industrial or office ergonomics, industrial sports medicine, or functional employment testing preferred.
- 7Ergonomic certification or training preferred.
- 8Capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds, with frequent standing, walking, sitting, and squatting.
