Overview

Branex Group seeks an Industrial or Manufacturing Engineer to enhance manufacturing throughput and digital twin initiatives in automotive operations. This hybrid role involves onsite work in Detroit Michigan with approximately 50 percent travel. The ideal candidate supports production systems and ensures accurate data collection.

What You'll Do18

  • 1Develop and maintain manufacturing throughput models using current plant designs
  • 2Analyze production processes cycle times capacity downtime bottlenecks and material flow
  • 3Compare planned production performance with actual plant data to identify improvements
  • 4Support line balancing capacity studies and production planning activities
  • 5Assist with new manufacturing installations and implement production line solutions
  • 6Use manufacturing data to pinpoint throughput issues and recommend corrective actions
  • 7Work with PLC-controlled equipment to validate production data and review signals tags and machine states
  • 8Monitor and troubleshoot data collection systems and collaborate with controls teams
  • 9Verify equipment and data collection systems meet engineering specifications
  • 10Troubleshoot automated assembly robotics testers and other manufacturing systems
  • 11Develop and update Discrete Event Simulation models for current and future installations
  • 12Support transition of throughput models to manufacturing execution teams
  • 13Create data collection requirements for new installations and document throughput models
  • 14Analyze manufacturing data and provide recommendations for performance enhancement
  • 15Collaborate with manufacturing controls automation and engineering teams
  • 16Establish manufacturing throughput and data collection standards
  • 17Provide technical training on throughput tools and data collection processes
  • 18Serve as liaison between manufacturing operations and engineering teams

Requirements11

  • 1Bachelor's degree in Industrial Manufacturing Engineering Mechanical Engineering Systems Engineering or related field
  • 2Experience in automotive or high volume manufacturing
  • 3Strong background in manufacturing processes production systems throughput capacity or line balancing
  • 4Hands-on experience with PLC controlled equipment such as Allen-Bradley Rockwell ControlLogix Siemens or similar platforms
  • 5Ability to interpret PLC signals machine states I/O production counts and manufacturing data
  • 6Familiarity with discrete event simulation or digital twin technology
  • 7Knowledge of simulation platforms like Tecnomatix Plant Simulation FlexSim AnyLogic
  • 8Understanding of MES SCADA or PLC-to-database communication
  • 9Experience with capacity analysis Modapts MOST or similar industrial engineering methods
  • 10Exposure to manufacturing simulation or digital twin applications
  • 11Automotive OEM or Tier 1 manufacturing experience preferred
