Human Resources Specialist, Student Outreach & Recruitment
Overview
Own federal recruitment and university outreach at scale within a DoD HR office. Lead candidate tracking, events, and talent portal administration while collaborating with HR Advisors and recruiters. Work on programs spanning recruitment budgets, actions requests, and special outreach initiatives.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and manage university outreach programs and career fair registrations to drive candidate flow
- 2Coordinate recruitment events, interview days, and candidate communications with colleges and universities
- 3Maintain and analyze candidate tracking information and recruitment materials to support decision making
- 4Support recruitment programs and preparation of participation packages for federal initiatives
- 5Oversee event setup, execution, and debriefs for recruitment activities and talent portal entries
- 6Develop and maintain recruiting documentation and reports using Microsoft Office and data visualizations
- 7Assist with budget tracking for recruitment and student outreach initiatives
- 8Provide information and analytical support on efficient organizational structures within HR functions
- 9Route RPAs and maintain NSWCPD RPA Tracking System/CRTS database for accurate records
- 10Support HR Advisors with additional recruitment and student outreach requirements
Requirements10
- 1High School Diploma or GED
- 2Five or more years of experience providing Human Resources services in at least one functional area such as Labor and Employee Relations Staffing and Classification Workforce Development HRIS or Student Outreach and Recruitment
- 3Knowledge of Government regulations policies under Title 5 U.S. Code and related authorities
- 4Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and HR practices including HR laws policies rules and procedures
- 5U.S. citizenship at time of proposal submission
- 6Experience supporting federal recruitment staffing student outreach university recruiting talent acquisition or related HR functions
- 7Experience coordinating recruitment activities hiring events or career fairs
- 8Strong organizational customer service written and verbal communication skills
- 9Ability to manage multiple recruiting actions and events simultaneously
- 10Ability to maintain accurate candidate and HR records and protect sensitive information
