Human Resources Generalist - Federal Agency
Overview
The Human Resources Generalist provides comprehensive HR support to a Federal Agency, handling staffing, personnel actions, onboarding, employee administration, records management, and workforce operations. This onsite role in Washington DC requires federal HR experience and expertise in SF-52 processes.
What You'll Do10
- 1Prepare, review, process, track, and manage SF-52 requests for personnel action through completion
- 2Coordinate personnel actions including appointments promotions reassignments transfers separations and other employee changes
- 3Support recruitment staffing hiring onboarding and offboarding activities
- 4Maintain accurate personnel records staffing trackers HR documentation and status reports
- 5Provide HR guidance and responsive customer support to employees supervisors hiring managers leadership and other HR stakeholders
- 6Track personnel actions approvals deadlines and outstanding requirements to ensure timely completion
- 7Prepare professional HR correspondence reports and workforce communications
- 8Handle sensitive and confidential personnel information with appropriate discretion
- 9Support compliance with OPM regulations and applicable federal HR policies procedures and agency requirements
- 10Provide support and guidance related to federal employee lifecycle programs including recruitment classification staffing personnel actions retirement and employee benefits
Requirements9
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 23-5 seasons leading cross-functional HR initiatives
- 35+ years experience with SF-52 systems
- 4Proven ability to navigate federal HR policies and procedures
- 5Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- 6Excellent written verbal communication skills
- 7Experience with Microsoft Office applications
- 8Familiarity with federal staffing and personnel administration processes
- 9Knowledge of OPM guidelines and federal employee lifecycle functions
