Overview

The Human Resources Generalist provides comprehensive HR support to a Federal Agency, handling staffing, personnel actions, onboarding, employee administration, records management, and workforce operations. This onsite role in Washington DC requires federal HR experience and expertise in SF-52 processes.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Prepare, review, process, track, and manage SF-52 requests for personnel action through completion
  • 2Coordinate personnel actions including appointments promotions reassignments transfers separations and other employee changes
  • 3Support recruitment staffing hiring onboarding and offboarding activities
  • 4Maintain accurate personnel records staffing trackers HR documentation and status reports
  • 5Provide HR guidance and responsive customer support to employees supervisors hiring managers leadership and other HR stakeholders
  • 6Track personnel actions approvals deadlines and outstanding requirements to ensure timely completion
  • 7Prepare professional HR correspondence reports and workforce communications
  • 8Handle sensitive and confidential personnel information with appropriate discretion
  • 9Support compliance with OPM regulations and applicable federal HR policies procedures and agency requirements
  • 10Provide support and guidance related to federal employee lifecycle programs including recruitment classification staffing personnel actions retirement and employee benefits

Requirements9

  • 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
  • 23-5 seasons leading cross-functional HR initiatives
  • 35+ years experience with SF-52 systems
  • 4Proven ability to navigate federal HR policies and procedures
  • 5Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • 6Excellent written verbal communication skills
  • 7Experience with Microsoft Office applications
  • 8Familiarity with federal staffing and personnel administration processes
  • 9Knowledge of OPM guidelines and federal employee lifecycle functions
