Human Resources Administrator, Onsite Contract in Chicago Area
Overview
The Human Resources Administrator will own comprehensive HR support for benefits, payroll, onboarding, records management, and compliance at scale for a contract role in Evanston IL. You will collaborate with employees, managers, and external partners to maintain accurate employee data and deliver responsive service. This position offers hands on experience across HR operations and opportunities to contribute to organization wide training and compliance initiatives.
What You'll Do10
- 1Provide administrative support for all HR areas including benefits, payroll coordination, recruiting support, training, and HR operations
- 2Maintain confidential employee records and ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance
- 3Enter update retrieve and generate employee information reports and compensation benefits data in HRIS
- 4Serve as primary point of contact answering questions on policies benefits leave programs training retirement and HR programs
- 5Coordinate onboarding new hire documentation orientations and related correspondence
- 6Assist recruiting by scheduling interviews coordinating testing activities and supporting hiring managers
- 7Process payroll timesheets and coordinate with payroll personnel to ensure accurate records
- 8Support workers compensation administration maintain claim documentation and track activity
- 9Prepare reports correspondence presentations and meeting materials for HR initiatives
- 10Coordinate department meetings training sessions and employee programs including logistics and communications
Requirements10
- 1High school diploma or GED required additional education in HR BA or related field preferred
- 2Minimum of three years of administrative HR or office management experience
- 3Experience with HRIS payroll systems and employee record management
- 4Strong knowledge of HR administration benefits payroll practices and employment laws
- 5Proficiency with Microsoft Office Google Workspace spreadsheets and databases
- 6Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to prepare professional correspondence
- 7Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- 8Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally
- 9Strong customer service problem solving and interpersonal skills
- 10Ability to work independently and collaborate with managers employees vendors and external partners
