HSE Technician I
Overview
Support HSE team by assisting compliance activities, hazardous material handling, recordkeeping, and inspections. Work under senior staff across shop areas to maintain FAA OSHA EPA standards. This role involves diverse tasks ensuring facility compliance and safety.
What You'll Do8
- 1Confirm compliance with FAA OSHA EPA checklists
- 2Assist with hazardous chemical management including tank additions
- 3Handle waste disposal for acids bases solvents paints batteries and tank sludge
- 4Maintain SDS binder and inspection checklists
- 5Conduct routine shop area inspections under supervision
- 6Attend HSE training sessions and distribute PPE
- 7Perform basic equipment checks and minor repairs
- 8Respond to spills and cleanup as needed
Requirements11
- 12+ years HSE environmental compliance experience
- 2High school diploma or equivalent
- 3OSHA 10 certification required
- 4Forklift certification required
- 5HAZWOPER 24 certification required
- 6Ability to read SDS chemical labels and safety instructions
- 7Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- 8Physical stamina for standing walking lifting up to 25 pounds
- 9Ability to tolerate chemical exposure with proper PPE
- 10Excellent written and verbal communication
- 11Background check and drug screening clearance
