Overview

You own HR operations for Glendale Elementary School District, supporting 1,500+ employees across onboarding, fingerprinting, and compliance. You act as the first point of contact for staff and candidates, providing guidance on procedures and policies. What You'll Do9

  • 1Process new employee onboarding, including new hire offers, check-in, fingerprinting, badge ID, and answer questions for the purpose of disseminating information to appropriate parties.
  • 2Fingerprint new employees and volunteers; track all employees and candidates pending background clearance and verification for the purpose of making well-reasoned recommendations concerning retention or termination.
  • 3Oversee the employee evaluation system for certified and classified employees, tracking due-date files for receipt of evaluations and initiating required action.
  • 4Interpret college transcripts for the purpose of determining credit and experience for placement on the appropriate pay table.
  • 5Review and compare newly hired teacher transcripts, clock hours, certificates, and endorsements to classroom assignments for the purpose of determining Highly Qualified status under NCLB.
  • 6Coordinate schedules and facilitate HR-related committees, including the development and tracking of Intent to Return Forms.
  • 7Provide administrative support to department managers and staff, responding to inquiries from internal and external parties.
  • 8Oversee the professional growth program, instructing staff on procedures, timeframes, and recommending changes to salary.
  • 9Develop, distribute, and track Intent to Return Forms for classified and certified employees to assist administrators in obtaining resignation or retirement letters.

Requirements10

  • 1High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • 2IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
  • 3Measles/Rubella immunity/vaccination and valid Form I-9.
  • 4Pre-employment Proficiency Test required.
  • 52+ years of job-related experience with increasing levels of responsibility is desired.
  • 6Bilingual preferred.
  • 7Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Vision HR software.
  • 8Skill in applying pertinent policies, codes, and requirements.
  • 9Ability to schedule activities, gather data, and work with diverse individuals.
  • 10Maintain absolute confidentiality and discretion in all HR matters.
