HR Generalist, Logistics & Payroll
Overview
You will run daily HR functions for a multi-location logistics company, handling employee relations, payroll, benefits, and compliance across assigned business units. You will process weekly payroll for Kronos users, coordinate open enrollment, and support disciplinary actions with leadership. This role requires travel between FST locations and direct partnership with supervisors. You will also manage temp agencies and build pipelines through university partnerships.
What You'll Do8
- 1Run daily HR operations including employee inquiries, new hire orientation, and benefits enrollment
- 2Process weekly payroll with Kronos, calculating pay and managing bonus programs
- 3Conduct open enrollment and coordinate benefits changes and training
- 4Partner with leadership on disciplinary matters, investigations, and performance reviews
- 5Handle employment-related inquiries, terminations, and unemployment claims
- 6Oversee temporary agencies and recruit for assigned business units, building partnerships with universities
- 7Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and update policies
- 8Ensure confidentiality and provide HR policy guidance to staff and management
Requirements9
- 12+ years experience in human resources or applicable logistics
- 2Hands-on experience with HRIS systems, preferably Kronos
- 3Working knowledge of state and federal employment regulations
- 4Strong analytical, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- 5Excellent organizational and time management abilities with proven deadline performance
- 6Superior written, verbal, and interpersonal communication
- 7Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- 8Strong presentation skills and previous training experience preferred
- 9Bachelor's degree preferred
