HR Assistant Job Nashville Chick-fil-A Part-Time
Overview
You own HR operations for a busy Chick-fil-A restaurant in Nashville, supporting recruitment, compliance, and payroll for a team of 50+ employees. You'll manage candidate communications, maintain employee files, and assist with onboarding, working directly with the HR Director. This part-time role (10 hours/week, max 20) offers $16.50/hour with a raise to $17 after training, plus flexible scheduling and employee perks.
What You'll Do8
- 1Conduct reference checks for applicants with prior Chick-fil-A experience and update applicant statuses within 48 hours.
- 2Coordinate Willo Video Interviews and schedule job fairs or open interviews with the HR Director.
- 3Print and compile new hire documentation weekly, file employee records, and remove terminated employees' files promptly.
- 4Support bi-annual compliance audits by collecting updated IDs and minor documentation for all team members.
- 5Process weekly payroll using Payroll Systems, ensure paychecks are ready by 2pm Friday, and kick off onboarding for new hires.
- 6Track hiring activity, resignations, and milestones (anniversaries, birthdays) and report to leadership.
- 7Assist the Culture Director with exit interviews and serve as impartial witness for evaluations or disciplinary talks.
- 8Support recognition programs and employee events, and complete HR projects assigned by the HR Director.
Requirements8
- 1Associate's degree in HR, business, or related field.
- 21+ year experience in HR support, payroll, or administrative role.
- 3Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and Google Workspace.
- 4Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for file management and compliance.
- 5Excellent written and verbal communication for candidate and team interactions.
- 6Ability to handle confidential employee information with discretion.
- 7Familiarity with Willo or other video interview platforms is a plus.
- 8Availability to work part-time (10-20 hours/week) with flexibility for events or audits.
