Housekeeping Supervisor, Senior Living & Facilities Management
Overview
Own and supervise the housekeeping team to ensure safe, efficient operations across daily tasks at a senior living community. Lead cleanliness standards, resident-focused service, and compliance with safety procedures. Collaborate with residents, families, and staff to maintain a respectful environment that honors resident belongings and confidentiality. This role emphasizes servant-leadership and culture as drivers of quality care.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build daily schedules and assign housekeeping tasks for the team
- 2Train staff in laundry, housekeeping, and light maintenance while following safety precautions
- 3Inspect team performance and provide guidance to meet quality standards
- 4Communicate effectively with staff, residents, and family members to resolve issues
- 5Order cleaning materials, manage budget, and maintain inventory
- 6Develop and train staff on policies and procedures and attend department meetings
- 7Maintain confidentiality of resident-care information and respect personal property
- 8Participate in in-service education and on-the-job training programs
- 9Oversee safety and cleanliness to prevent hazards in work areas
- 10Other duties as assigned by Executive Director
Requirements5
- 1Education: High school diploma or GED required
- 2Three years’ experience in the senior living industry and prior management experience preferred
- 3Ability to read, write, and speak English and understand written and oral directions
- 4Knowledge of cleaning compounds handling and equipment operation
- 5Must be able to read MSDS and follow safety procedures
