Hostess, Fine Dining & Reservations
Overview
You will own the front-of-house arrival experience at Noah Restaurant, setting the tone for every guest's visit. You will welcome up to 200 guests per shift, seat parties, and coordinate table turns to keep service flowing. You will work closely with the host team and front-of-house managers, using Reservation Management Systems to manage bookings and waitlists. This role stands out for its emphasis on creating a lasting first impression and supporting a high-touch dining environment.
What You'll Do8
- 1Greet guests within 30 seconds of arrival and escort them to assigned tables.
- 2Manage reservations through OpenTable and maintain an organized waitlist during peak hours.
- 3Provide menus and highlight daily specials, including chef recommendations.
- 4Coordinate with kitchen and wait staff to balance seating and service pace.
- 5Resolve guest issues on the spot, from seating delays to special requests.
- 6Track table turnover and communicate wait times to guests accurately.
- 7Assist with phone inquiries and booking confirmations using Reservation Management Systems.
- 8Set up and reset host stand stations with menus and promotional materials.
Requirements8
- 1High school diploma or equivalent.
- 21+ year experience in customer service, preferably in hospitality.
- 3Experience as a hostess or in a similar front-of-house role.
- 4Familiarity with Reservation Management Systems such as OpenTable.
- 5Strong communication skills to interact with guests and staff.
- 6Strong organizational skills to manage reservations and waitlists.
- 7Friendly and approachable demeanor to create a welcoming atmosphere.
- 8Problem-solving skills to address guest inquiries and resolve issues.
