What You'll Do9

  • 1Design and execute immunohistochemistry protocols to generate diagnostic insights
  • 2Lead complex tissue processing workflows including embedding and cutting
  • 3Perform routine H&E staining and specialized stain applications
  • 4Maintain and calibrate specialized laboratory equipment
  • 5Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure accurate specimen handling
  • 6Prepare and manage laboratory reagents for consistent performance
  • 7Ensure strict patient confidentiality during all laboratory activities
  • 8Drive continuous improvement in diagnostic accuracy and efficiency
  • 9Collaborate with pathologists to interpret histological findings

Requirements9

  • 1Associate's Degree in Histology preferred with ASCP certification as Histotechnologist (HTL)
  • 2Minimum 5+ years experience in histotechnology or related field
  • 3Proven ability to operate advanced microscopy equipment
  • 4Strong knowledge of immunohistochemistry techniques and interpretation
  • 5Excellent documentation skills for laboratory processes
  • 6Ability to work independently and make critical decisions
  • 7Commitment to patient safety and quality standards
  • 8Experience with laboratory information systems
  • 9Certification as a Histotechnologist (HTL) through ASCP is mandatory
